Tuscatube was started by Neven Matthews in Waynesboro, VA in 1986. An engineer from the local spandex plant was concerned about the current cleaning process with its environmental challenges and damage to critical components. After meeting with Mr. Matthews, Tuscatube was allowed an experimental contract to clean spinneret parts. Two years later, with a custom process sorted out, they were awarded a contract to clean all parts. Since then, Tuscatube has supplied many custom built cleaners to the spandex and aramid fiber manufacturers around the globe.
Dan Beidler, who has been with the company since 1987, took over in January 2013. We continue to offer sales and support of the spinneret cleaners and look forward to helping other sites resolve environmentally challenged processes, some of which shorten the life of the critical components.
